Wide Horizons V - Transit by k3n

Showing at Patchworktage in Germany in June

Transit
Transit in astronomy describes the movement of celestial bodies in relation to one another. I am in transit creatively, exploring new techniques without forgetting the old. I need to retain an enjoyment of the process so keep old techniques that give me pleasure and add new ones for excitement.

Collage with torn and cut fabric, foundation piecing, fusible appliqué, machine top-stitching and free machine quilting, hand quilting and embroidery.

Printed cotton, hand dyed and found fabric, unbleached calico.
